Zephylian is the language spoken by the zephyli of Thalarey. It is descended from the Tinean language, but has diverged from that language less than other Tinean descendants, in part due to the zephyli's close relationship with the great trees. As zephyli sleep, their dreams intermingled with the souls of the ancient El'dari who sleep within the trees. They learned language and technology from these trees, almost completely supplanting any native sounds they used, as they had been very primitive before they took up residence in the great forest. Any evidence that the zephyli had developed a language prior to contact with the El'dari trees has long been lost.
